Guatemala Santa Rosa is a classic, versatile washed coffee that roasts evenly and performs well across a wide range of profiles.

• Light Roast:
  Brighter citrus notes with light caramel sweetness and a clean finish. Best suited for pour-over and filter brewing.

• Medium Roast (Recommended):
  Highlights milk chocolate, caramel sweetness, and a balanced acidity. Smooth, approachable, and highly versatile.

• Medium-Dark Roast:
  Emphasizes cocoa, deeper sweetness, and a fuller body with reduced acidity. Works well for espresso and milk-based drinks.

This coffee is easy to dial in and well suited for both home roasters and small commercial setups.

Guatemala is known for producing some of the world’s most respected specialty coffees. Its mountainous terrain, volcanic soils, and diverse microclimates create ideal growing conditions that allow coffees to develop clarity, balance, and sweetness.

This coffee comes from the Santa Rosa region, located in south-central Guatemala. The area’s nutrient-rich volcanic soils and elevations between 1,200 and 1,400 meters support slower cherry maturation, which helps concentrate flavor development.

This lot is classified as SHB (Strictly Hard Bean), indicating it was grown at higher elevations where beans mature more slowly and develop greater density. It is also prepared using European Preparation (EP) standards, meaning the beans are hand sorted to remove defects and foreign material.

The result is a clean, well-structured coffee with a smooth body, chocolate-forward sweetness, and a bright citrus finish—an excellent choice for everyday roasting.
